Once you've saved your inspection to the PIM Dashboard, you can add Inspection Areas and Sub-Areas directly from your PIM Cloud Dashboard. Then, you can sync them back to the app on your device. Additionally, the Dashboard allows you to:
- View, share, and submit reports
- Access and Download Media
- Utilize other features for managing inspections
If you don't need to add additional Inspection Areas and just wish to edit notes in existing areas or modify photos, please refer to our Editing Inspections Guide for detailed instructions.
However, if you wish to add new Inspection Areas and Sub-Areas to your inspection via the Dashboard then follow these steps after saving your inspection to the Dashboard:
- Navigate to the Inspection in the PIM Dashboard
- Add your Inspection Area to your Inspection in the Dashboard
- Add any Sub Inspection Area to the new Inspection Area
- Share the Report and Submit
- Sync the Inspection back to the PIM App
1. Navigate to the Inspection in the PIM Dashboard |
If you haven't saved your inspection to the dashboard then do that first so you can make your changes from the Dashboard rather than the App. If you don't know how refer to our Saving Inspections Guide.
Firstly, you need to Access the PIM Cloud Dashboard and tap the Inspections menu (1) then select the relevant inspection and tap the "3 Dots" under the Actions column (2) and then select Edit Inspection (3).
2. Adding a New Inspection Area to your Inspection in the Dashboard |
If you want to add a new Inspection Area or Sub-Area to your inspection then, follow these steps:
(4) Tap the 'Areas' tab
(5) Tap Edit
(6) Tap the "+ Add Area"
(7) Tap into the New Area Window and type in the name of the Area you wish to create/add
(8) Drag and Drop it into position
(9) Tap Save
NB: If you are adding an existing area that is listed in the App Settings > PIM Admin > Inspection Areas, try and match the text otherwise you will end up creating additional inspection areas with various spellings or with/without spaces between characters.
3. Adding Sub-Areas to the New Inspection Area |
After adding a new Inspection Area to your inspection you can then add any Sub Areas that are required. Just repeat the same process. See below.
3. Share Reports |
Once you have made the changes to your inspection, simply submit it to the owner or tenant from your PIM Cloud Dashboard, you can do so by tapping the 'Share Reports' symbol.
Additionally, you have the option to change the report template you want to use for generating the report, customize the email's subject and body, and even preview the report. You will also need to select the template you require.
4. Sync the Inspection Back to the PIM App |
Simply tap back into your PIM App on your iPhone/iPad and it will sync, update automatically with your changes.
