If you are setting up a new device or wish to retrieve other inspections completed by a colleague you can sync them to your device from the PIM Cloud Dashboard.

A Manager will have the ability to see All Inspections from All Inspectors associated with their account.

An Inspector will only be able to see their own inspections unless an inspection is specifically assigned to them.

To view any new or updated inspections in your account you can sync them from your dashboard to your device.

Step 1:  Tap the Inspections icon in the PIM App

Step 2:  Swipe your finger or tap the Cloud icon to view your inspections available to sync.

Once the inspections have loaded you will see the list of inspections.  The screen defaults to "New Inspections" available.

1.  Filter your Inspections: You have the option to view and import New Inspections and Updated Inspections.  You can sync and import up to 10 inspections at a time.

New Inspections:

These inspections are stored in your PIM Cloud Dashboard but are not currently present on the device you are synchronising with. When you sync these inspections from the dashboard to your device, you will import notes, photos, as well as property and inspection data from the example below

Address:   500 West Coast Hwy, Scarborough

Inspection Date: Thursday 3rd August 2023 @ the time: 19.43

Report Type: is a Condition Report

Inspector: in Nicola Training

Status of the Inspection: Inspected

Note: No PDF or Word documents are pulled down to the device.

Updated Inspections:

Updated Inspections are inspections that are currently on your device but have been modified since they were last saved or submitted from the device. This typically suggests that changes or updates to the inspection have been made through the dashboard on a PC, and you now wish to synchronise the most recent version of that inspection to your device.

When you tap on an existing inspection in your Inspection list, PIM will automatically check for "Updates" from the dashboard and overwrite the inspection locally on the device.  As below ( it's quick but it will look as below).

If you don't want to overwrite the existing inspection on your device, don't tap on it from your list, you will need to tap the Cloud symbol and select how you wish to import it.

2.  Sort: Allow you to sort your inspections by Date, Address or Suburb:

3.  Import your Available Inspection:  Tap the Inspections you wish to sync down to your device, and then tap the  Box with Downward Arrow > then tap Import Selected Inspection/s and you will be prompted to Update Inspection or Merge Inspection.

Updated inspection should show an Orange Bar, as this indicates it recognises that there is an existing inspection for that address on the same device.  You can only sync one inspection at a time.

Tap Confirm Update Inspection

Update Inspection will overwrite the existing inspection with new notes and photos and any other Property details changed via the Dashboard.

Merge Inspection will keep your existing notes and then add the new notes side by side to the inspection.  The Quick Checks will only be updated where they have not previously been marked, they are not updated using the MERGE process.

Tap Confirm Merge Inspection

Once completed tap Cancel and then navigate to your inspection in the Inspection list.

A merged inspection will MERGE ALL Notes, it does not over-write any existing notes it will just add the amended notes in addition to the existing notes.  Only new Quick Check will be merged not amended ones.

In this example:

An inspection was submitted from a device to the Dashboard and the Notes were amended from Painted Green to Painted Grey, saved and then MERGED back to the device.

Handy Hint:  You can refresh the Available Inspections or Updated Inspection list at any time by swiping down the screen
