Transferring PIM to Another Device

You can easily move PIM to a new device using the PIM Cloud Dashboard.


Before you begin, we recommend saving all past inspections from your old device to the PIM Cloud to prevent any data loss during the transfer. If you’re unsure, log into your PIM Cloud Dashboard and review the Inspections to confirm your records.


Step 1: Back Up Inspections from the Old Device (Device A)

Ensure any inspections not currently in the PIM Cloud are backed up - How to Back Up Inspections


Step 2: Share Your Settings from the Old Device (Device A)

If you’ve customised inspection areas or property profiles, you can transfer these to your new device - How to Share Settings


If you use the default PIM settings, you can skip this step.


Step 3: Install PIM on the New Device (Device B)

Download PIM from the App Store on the new device and log in with your account details.


Step 4: Restore Shared Settings to the New Device (Device B)

If you shared settings in Step 2 and want to restore them, follow - How to Restore Settings


Note: The Restore All option should only be used on brand-new devices or if you want to completely reset PIM. It will erase all existing settings and inspections.


Step 5: Sync Inspections from PIM Cloud to the New Device

Finally, sync your required inspections from the PIM Dashboard to the new device - How to Sync Inspections


Only sync inspections you plan to repeat in the future—others can be synced later as needed.
