Help! I can't take photos in the PIM app

If the camera does not open properly in certain areas of the PIM app, and you cant take photos, it may be due to your device's permission settings. PIM requires permission to access your Photos app to save images captured during inspections.


Follow these steps to ensure PIM has the required access:

  1. Check Photo and Camera Permissions

    • Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Photos.
      • Find PIM in the list and ensure it is set to Full Access.
    • Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Camera.
      • Make sure PIM is toggled ON (the switch should be green).
  2. Check App-Specific Settings

    • Open Settings, (scroll down to Apps if using iOS18) then scroll down to find the PIM app, and tap it.
    • Under Photos, make sure Full Access is selected.
    • Ensure the Camera toggle is ON (green).

After confirming these settings, try launching the camera again within PIM. If the issue persists, restart your device and test the app and contact us if taking photos is still an issue.
