John Liddell is the Founder and Managing Director of The Mould Doctor Pty Ltd, a privately-owned mould remediation company servicing properties across Victoria and New South Wales.

The Mould Doctor applies innovative procedures to remove mould bacteria and odours. Property Inspection Manager: How long have you been using PIM?

John Liddell: Our relationship with PIM started in 2014 when we were looking for an inspection tool to help our field technicians capture information onsite to assist in our reporting process. Over the years we have developed and refined our inspection process with the PIM team. We have also looked at alternative solutions along the way but stayed using PIM as, like us, it's constantly evolving.

Property Inspection Manager: What impact has PIM made to your inspection process?

John Liddell: PIM has allowed us to reduce the paper trail in our business and speed the process of capturing information onsite, quickly delivering it to the admin team so we can produce reports and quotes faster. We have also developed settings that enable technicians to select relevant and consistent terminology and insert appropriate phrases into the report. It's allowed us to embed a better, more consistent inspection process across the team.

Property Inspection Manager: What is/are the standout features of PIM from your perspective?

John Liddell: Flexibility to use PIM to improve our process rather than dictate the way we work. We need a partner who listens and helps us and we've found that with the PIM team. We are looking to develop the integration with our chosen CRM to make the process even smoother. The PIM team is open to listen, assist and work with The Mould Doctor team to make this happen. We have highly customised templates that have developed and improved over the years to make our completed reports well structured, easy to understand and are incorporated into our Quotations by the admin team.

Property Inspection Manager: What factors helped you decide to choose us?

John Liddell: It's fair to say we started with a simple PIM solution and as we grew looked at the market for software to enable us to keep up with emerging demands. We have consistently been sold alternative solutions to PIM, but many have failed to deliver on the sales promise. PIM is a straightforward solid, easy to use inspection app that hasn't let us down. The customisation of settings and templates in PIM has been critical to help us adapt to our changing business needs.
