Download, Log In & First Time Set Up

We know you can't wait to get started, so let's show you how to get PIM set up on your iPad and iPhone.

PIM is pretty intuitive, so when logging in for the first time you will need to log in and let us know some basic info so it can begin to do its magic.  You only need to do this once as PIM will store the information for you.

Step 1: Search for "PIM" or "Property Inspection Manager" (1) in the App Store then tap GET (2) to install.

Step 2: Locate the new PIM icon on your iPad or iPhone and tap to open it.

Step 3:  If you already have a Trial or subscription account with us, enter the Email & Password you were given in the PIM Welcome Email.  Alternatively, you can sign up for a no-obligation Free 2 Week Trial so you can really see how it works!

Step 4: Select Residential Property or Commercial Property (1) then select Continue (2).

Please contact us if you need to incorporate both types of property management in your account.

Step 5: Select the region where you work (1) then select Continue (2).  You will be prompted to give your device a name.  Enter a name and tap OK.

Step 6:  Menu tabs are located at the bottom of the screen.  Tap Settings now.

Step 7: Tap PIM Admin.

Step 8: Tap Inspectors and Templates.

Step 9: If you are logging in for the first time, PIM will setup your template selection for you, however you wish to change to change your templates, tap on your name, or if you wish to add another inspector to this device, tap the + symbol in the top right to add a new person.

Step 10: Enter your name/the inspectors name and the email address where you would like your reports to be sent.

If you would like to send your reports to more than one email address then just add a "," (comma) between the email addresses.

ie.  sandy@propertyinspectionmanager.com, support@propertyinspectionmanager.com

Step 11:  Templates are used in PIM when you submit an inspection.  They are linked to each inspector setup on the device and also linked to each inspection type assigned to your inspection. To check or assign the correct setup follow these steps:

For Residential Setup:

Once logged in tap Settings > PIM Admin > Inspectors and Templates. New users will have their templates pre-selected, existing users will need to tap their name and select the following templates:

  • Routine Inspection Report Template and then tap Inspection Template-Default.docx
  • Condition Report Template and then tap your state/region Entry template.docx
  • Cleaning Inspection Template and then tap Cleaning Template-Default.docx
  • Tenant Report Template and then tap Tenant-Inspection Template-Default.docx
  • and then hit Done!

For Commercial Setup:

Once logged in tap Settings > PIM Admin > Inspectors and Templates. New users will have their templates pre-selected, existing users will need to tap their name and select the following templates:

  • Routine Inspection Report Template and then tap Commercial Inspection Template-Default.docx
  • Condition Report Template and then tap Commercial PCR Template-Entry.docx
  • Cleaning Inspection Template and then tap Cleaning Template-Default.docx
  • Tenant Report Template and then tap Tenant-Inspection Template-Default.docx
  • and then hit Done!

Note: You may have customised templates. If so, select the corresponding named templates. ie: Inspection Template-"YourCompanyName".docx or "your state/region Entry-"YourCompanyName".docx".

If you are not sure what you should be selecting, send in a diagnostics by tapping the "PIM Help Desk?" icon > then tap Contact Us (Including Diagnostics) > tap into the white box and let us know the address of the inspection you are trying to import and then tap Send.

Your report templates should now display in the Inspector Screen. Tap Done to close and save.

You are now ready to begin using PIM.  We recommend you watch the Getting Started With PIM video, or refer to the other user guides.   We also recommend you read PIM Settings Guide for an overview of general settings and defaults which can improve your overall inspection experience.
