With the Updates of Microsoft Office, and in particular WORD, we can sometimes find errors occur opening, and saving your PIM Word documents.
If you have recently installed the latest MS Office/Word Update from June 2023 you may be experiencing issues saving your Word documents. It seems to be resulting in either opening Word in Safe Mode or just hanging Word so it's unresponsive.
We would expect a fix will be released by MS, however, in the meantime, we have documented this workaround. Please follow these steps and if you experience further issues, email us at support@propertyinspectionmanger.com.
Download Word File
Firstly, download your MS Word file from your email to your desktop/downloads folder or a location you can find it.
Once Word has launched tap Open (1), then tap Browse (2) to locate the saved file and single click on the Word file (just to highlight it) (3), then below you will see Open (with a downward arrow), then click the Downward Arrow (4), then tap Open and Repair (5).
If you see a pop-up window tap Close. You are then free to edit and save your file as you usually do.
