With the latest technology from Apple comes the Apple Pencil.  This device can be paired with your iPad then used to enter your notes and navigate around PIM whilst completing your inspection.

Pairing your Pencil and Apple Settings for your Pencil:


Step 1:  Ensure your Apple Pencil is Paired to your iPad.

(2nd gen) - attach you Apple Pencil to the magnetic connector on the side of your device.

(1st gen) - remove the cap and plug your Apple Pencil into the Lightning connector on your iPad.  When you see the Pair button, tap it



Step 2:  Navigate to your Apple Settings > Apple Pencil and ENABLE

- Only Draw with Apple Pencil > ON (Green)

- Scribble > ON



Converting Handwriting to Text/Keystrokes for your PIM Notes


Using your Apple Pencil you can capture notes quickly by writing directly into PIM and it will convert to Text/Keystrokes as you go.



Use with Shorthand Words and Phrases

You can also easily add your text/notes to your Shorthand Word library, just write your notes/sentence and then either double tap on a word and highlight the sentence > then from the shorthand menu select> Save to Shorthand  Phrases.


and use the abbreviation together with a space line to prompt you for the saved phrase.
