Depending on whether you are using an iPhone or iPad (iOS) or are using Android devices, there are a few ways of inserting video links into your inspection report in PIM.
Using an iPhone or iPad (IOS) device
1. Shoot the video on your device in the Inspection Area in question.
2. Navigate to your Photos app and select the video just taken.
3. Tap the share icon in the lower left and select “Copy iCloud Link”.
4. Either - Send the link to your Property Manager who can include that in the final inspection report.
OR - If you are using PIM to conduct your Virtual Inspection, simply paste that link directly in the Notes field in the specific Inspection Area where the video was taken.
Using an Android device
1. Shoot the video on your device in the Inspection Area in question
2. The Share button in Gallery displays a list of installed apps that have the ability to send media. If you often use various apps to send videos, managing your files in Gallery gives you quick access to SMS, email and social media apps associated with your phone's user account. Different Android versions have different folder names, but Gallery usually sources files from the Camera, Pictures or Videos folder. To share videos in Gallery, tap "Share," choose a sharing option and then send a message. For example, choose "Gmail" to open the Gmail app and automatically create a new message with the video as an attachment.
3. Either - Send the link to your Property Manager who can include that in the final inspection report.
OR - If you are using PIM to conduct your Virtual Inspection, simply paste the link directly in the Notes field in the specific Inspection Area where the video was taken.
